Tayah specializes in supporting individuals, couples, and families navigating life’s most challenging transitions and experiences. Her clinical interests include anxiety, depression, OCD, PTSD, mood disorders, trauma, grief, and crisis intervention. She has extensive experience working with intimate relationship concerns and family conflict, helping clients strengthen communication, rebuild trust, and foster healthier connections. Tayah also supports clients navigating substance use concerns, relational stressors, and complex family dynamics, always with a whole-person and systems-informed lens. As a queer Black woman, Tayah is deeply committed to destigmatizing mental health care and expanding access to affirming, high-quality therapy for BIPOC and LGBTQIA+ communities. She brings a culturally responsive and identity-affirming approach to her work, informed by her lived experience and understanding of intersectionality, marginalization, and neurodiversity. Creating a safe, inclusive, and empowering therapeutic space is central to her practice. Tayah’s therapeutic style is collaborative and integrative, blending evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy with Adlerian principles and mindfulness practices. She supports clients in building insight into the connection between thoughts, emotions, and behaviors while developing confidence and practical skills for meaningful change. Tayah is also a Certified Animal Assisted Therapist and incorporates animal companions into therapy when appropriate. She is additionally QPR (Question, Persuade, Refer) certified in suicide prevention, bringing specialized crisis intervention training to her work. Above all, Tayah offers a compassionate, judgment-free space where clients feel seen, understood, and supported in their growth.</image:caption>
