Lead With Purpose: We’re Hiring a Clinical Supervisor
At Balanced Life Counseling (BLC), we believe in leading with empathy, collaborating with intention, and building spaces where both clients and clinicians feel seen, supported, and empowered. Our practice is rooted in community, driven by heart, and grounded in clinical excellence.
As we grow, we’re seeking a Clinical Supervisor who is both a seasoned therapist and a steady, values aligned leader. This role is ideal for someone who loves mentoring provisionally licensed clinicians, can hold accountability with care, and wants to strengthen the clinical foundation of a trauma informed, LGBTQIA+ affirming practice.
What You’ll Experience as Clinical Supervisor
At BLC, supervision is not a checkbox. It is a relational container that supports growth, protects client care, and strengthens the confidence and competence of our clinicians. You will play a central role in shaping clinical quality while staying connected to the work through your own caseload.
Your Role at a Glance
Clinical supervision and mentorship
You will provide consistent, structured supervision that supports both clinical skill and clinician sustainability.
Responsibilities include:
Provide a minimum of 1 hour per week of supervision per provisionally licensed clinician
With the founder, be available for clinical questions and provision between supervision sessions when needed
Support case conceptualization, ethical decision making, and scope of practice
Aid clinicians in building strength in self care practices, pacing, and sustainability
Provide clear guidance around clinician duties and expectations within a group practice setting
Documentation and chart oversight
You will help protect clinical quality and practice integrity through strong documentation standards.
Responsibilities include:
Ensure supervisees maintain accurate charts and timely documentation
Maintain your own documentation consistently and on time
Identify documentation patterns or gaps early and provide coaching to course correct
Support compliance aligned clinical record keeping and clarity in notes
Clinical support in complex and high stakes situations
With the Founder, you will be a steady clinical presence when things get intense and help contain risk with clarity and care.
Responsibilities include
Consult on crisis situations, including safety planning, risk assessment, mandated reporting, and escalation pathways
Support clinicians in navigating high stress or high conflict client dynamics
Balance micro support for the clinician with macro awareness of practice standards and risk management
Practice culture and leadership presence
You will help shape how it feels to work here, not through perfection, but through consistency, honesty, and care.
Responsibilities include
Model BLC culture through grounded presence and clinical integrity
Hold accountability with empathy and direct communication
Provide specific constructive feedback and evaluation that supports growth
Lead with collaboration, humility, and steady confidence
Approach hard conversations with relational skill, not avoidance
Community connection and referral partnerships
You will support the practice’s long term strength by staying connected to the wider community of care.
Responsibilities include:
Support the Founder in maintaining resources, referrals, and partnership relationships
Contribute to the practice’s reputation through professionalism and relationship building
Help strengthen referral pathways aligned with our client population and values
Maintain a client caseload
To stay connected to the work and the realities clinicians are holding, you will also see clients.
Responsibilities include
Carry an ongoing caseload as a practicing clinician, completing at least 15 clinical hours per week
Maintain strong clinical boundaries, ethical care, and documentation standards
